Catalogue produced to accompany an impressive exhibition at the Chengdu Museum in China's Sichuan province. Explored the significance of the Chonghua Gong complex of halls and residence in the north-eastern part of the Forbidden City in Beijing. These were the private apartments of the Qianlong emperor when a child (then Prince Hongli). 88 exhibits demonstrating residential life and ritual within the Qing court and the splendour of court life at the highest level.
