Catalogue of an exhibition at the Capital Museum in Beijing exploring the cultural legacy surrounding the momentous move in 1420 of the capital of the Ming dynasty, and thus China, from Nanjing to Beijing. Nearly all the artefacts are early Ming from around 1420 and seek to give context to the establishment of the new capital.
