GBP 100.00 The Chinese text of the Southern Song dynasty work 'Zhu Fan Zhi' by Zhao Rukuo, on the Chinese and Arab Trade in the 12th and 13th Centuries. Zhao Rukuo was a Superintendent of Merchant Shipping in Fujian. The preface has a reign date equating to 1225. The work is also known as Chu-fan-chi and was first translated into English by F. Hirth and W. Rockhill and published in St. Petersburg in 1912. This work has a two-page postface in English by Rockhill dated Peking, 1914. Published in Tokyo.
