PLATES VOLUME ONLY of the extremely scarce and extremely detailed two-volume archaeological report detailing the discovery and excavation of the highly-important Gold Crown Tomb at a Silla Kingdom tomb near Kyongju in South Korea. Excavated in 1921, this was the first tomb to yield a gold crown of Silla royalty, together with a very large number of other fine artefacts. Other tombs are also discussed. Extensively-illustrated with black-and-white plates. Text in Japanese. Minor wear to covers and slight loss and chipping to spine. Good inside.
