The page of introductory text describes the paper cuts as being 'Temple Hill Cut-Outs' and all are black silhouette paper cuts, each depicting a Chinese legend. Accompanied by a printed explanation on a protective tissue guard. Produced, it seems, for charitable fund-raising purposes by the Women's Bible School of the Presbyterian Mission in Chefoo, now Yantai in Shandong province.
