GBP 80.00 In 1912 the Japanese colonial Governor-General of Korea became suspicious of the American missionary presence in Korea and the steady growth of foreign missionary churches in Korea. On June 28 1912, the Japanese government accused 123 Koreans of treason and assassination attempts against the Governor-General. Hundreds were arrested, detained and tortured. Some died. 105 men were convicted. In April 1913, the case was appealed on the grounds of injustice and falsified evidence.
