GBP 150.00 Catalogue of a remarkable exhibition (one in a series) at the Shanghai Museum showing the extraordinary finds in Sichuan from the Ancient Shu civilization sites at Sanxingdui and Jinsha that flourished at the time of the Shang and Zhou dynasties in north China. 363 artefacts were exhibited! Primarily dating from Shang and Zhou times, together with an interesting few later pieces dating from the Warring States, Han and the little-known 4th century Cheng-Han kingdom in Sichuan. Nearly all the exhibits are the distinctive bronzes and jades found at these two sites and a good number are apparently from recent excavations from 2019 onwards.
