The exhibition was organized to celebrate the reuniting of the body of the highly-important late Shang/early Zhou dynasty 'Min' Fanglei bronze (brought back from abroad) with its lid which has been in the collection of the Hunan Provincial Museum. The bronzes are truly fabulous, a number being of animal shape or bearing animals designs. One famous ding has human mask decoration.
