Facsimile reproduction of a complete run of a little-known magazine published in Shanghai for a relatively short period from 1934-1937. A total of 39 issues. The magazine was an illustrated comment on the news and social activity of the time with a marked humorous element. The sketches were done by a number of well-known sketch artists active in Shanghai at the time. Very interesting period piece and a prime example of the distinctive and, at times, unusual 'Shanghai Illustration' of the early 20th century. Illustrated throughout each issue. We have never come across any original issues. Text in Chinese. Hard to find.
