National Fengtian Library ed: WENSUGE SIKU QUANSHU YAOLUE. (An Overview of the Siku Quanshu Held in the Wensuge Library). 文溯閣四庫全書要略:國立奉天圖書館刊第一種:大同二年十二月. Fengtian (Shenyang) 1934. [8], 29 pp. 8 pp. b/w and colour illustrations. Foldout floor plan of the library. 22x15 cm. Paper. New cloth case.

The Wensuge Library was the imperial library in the Shenyang Forbidden City complex of the Qing emperors.
It held one of the seven sets of the Siku Quanshu - the enormous encyclopaedia of Chinese works commissioned by the Qianlong Emperor. This is a study of the library, its architecture and its holding of this extraordinary work. Very little is published on this imperial library.
Dated the 12th month of the second year of the Datong reign (i.e. the beginning of 1934) when Puyi was the puppet emperor of Manchukuo in north-east China. All text in Chinese. Some wear and grubbiness to covers. Generally good inside. Very rare.
