A well-illustrated work showing the finest relics excavated from the site of the upper capital (Shangjing) city of the Bohai kingdom which flourished in the Liaoning area of China from the Tang dynasty onwards. The artefacts are divided into sections including masonry and architectural decoration, bronzes (mostly small and including some small examples of gold jewellery), ceramics and small gilt-bronze statuary. The objects are held in museums in Liaoning Province. All text in Chinese.
