The author was the Rector of the Scheut Seminary in Mongolia. The work, more generally, a study of Christianity, mainly Catholicism, in Mongolia from the Mongol period onwards to the early 20th century. Interesting photographic illustrations. Printed by the Lazarist Press in Peking. Extremely rare Chinese imprint. The first time we have handled this work. Wear and tear to top and bottom of spine and minor creasing to corners. Partially removed small label to top left of front cover. Library stamp of the T'ung Tang Catholic Mission Peiping on frontpaper. Tung T'ang being the Eastern Catholic Cathedral. Internally fine.
