1920s illustrated lithographic publication. Appears to be a record of a collection of Chinese paintings, the collector based in Suzhou. A good variety of illustration, plants, orchids, blossoms, scenery, birds, insects, animals and a number of illustrations of human figures, particularly women, that are reminiscent of the style of the 19th century painter, Ren Xun. Published by the Saoye Shanfang, a well-known lithographic printing house based in Shanghai. All text in Chinese. Wear and tears to the title slip. Some mottling and foxing within but generally good. Original cloth case with loss of toggles. Rare.
