KAMMZ1 Kamiki Naonosuke: MYOSEKI ZUROKU. (A Catalogue of Marvellous Things). 妙蹟圖錄 。 神木猶之助 編. Tokyo, 1910. 44; 51; 50; 54; 41 folded leaves. A total of 217 pp. b/w collotype plates mostly showing 1 fullpage illustration. 5 vols. 43x29 cm. Stitched, cloth case. GBP 350.00 A very fine production from the early 20th century. The first three volumes cover Japanese painting mostly from the Edo period, the final two Chinese painting from the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is unclear whether this work is that of a single collection or various collections. In the introduction the author states that he has viewed all the works so at least it can be assumed that the paintings were held in Japan. Minor worming to first few leaves of the first volume affecting the margin of just one plate, otherwise confined to blank margins. Otherwise all volumes in fine condition. Cloth case with wear. Text in Japanese. Very rare. Subjects: Painting Item 61 in List 211. URL for this record: hanshan.com/?k/KAMMZ1.HTM Record produced by Hanshan Tang Books, www.hanshan.com. |
