A Japanese rendering by Hokusai of the popular Chinese tale Nanke Meng - Dreams on the Southern Bough.
 Predominantly double page black-and-white woodblock illustrations.
 Complete in one volume. Preface with a Bunka reign cyclical date equating to 1807. Later Meiji reprint. Published in Tokyo by Kobayashi Bunshichi. Some wear and abrasion to covers. Inside generally fine with just the occasional mark. Very rare.
 Conforms exactly to Kerlen: Catalogue of Pre-Meiji Japanese Books pp.473-4.
