Catalogue of a popular and colourful exhibition at the Capital Museum in Beijing showing imperial ceramics associated with, or commissioned by, the (Dowager) Empress Cixi. Ranges from the Tongzhi wedding service (imperial yellow with double happiness symbols and butterflies) through to Guangxu imperial yellow covered bowls with magpies and blossoms and turquoise ceramics with wisteria designs. Includes Dayazhai ceramics. All the ceramics are from the Gugong Museum and from the former imperial collection. Illustrated throughout with colour plates showing a total of 96 exhibits, many with views of close-up detail and base marks. Text in Chinese.
