Unusual album of photography showing various views of the temple and tomb of Confucius at Qufu in Shandong province. The photography presumably taken in the mid-late 1930s and there are few images of Qufu from this time. One of the plates shows very interesting Zhou dynasty ritual bronzes presented by the Kangxi Emperor and used in ceremonies at the temple. All but one of the plates are full page, the one exception having two images. English captions to plates, fuller text in Chinese. Published by Commercial Press, Shanghai. Some mottling to edges of front cover, internally fine. Rare.
