Discusses the extraordinary hoard of 67 Yuan dynasty relics found in 1999 in a cave near Longhua in China's Hebei province. The chief glory of the find was 46 silk fabrics of various types, including twill, gauze, satin, embroidery and gold-woven brocade. The fabrics comprised items such as a brown embroidered quilt cover, embroidered belts, pouches, gowns, jackets, pillow covers, embroidered shoes and other items. In addition, the hoard included fragments of written documents and articles for daily use. All objects illustrated in colour. There is much English text to this work including introductions, essays and descriptions to the plates. Fuller text in Chinese. Very hard to obtain.
