Catalogue of an exhibition held at the Shandong Museum in Ji'nan, China, in conjunction with the Confucius Museum in Qufu. Exhibited 32 well-preserved Ming dynasty garments from the collection of the Temple of Confucius and Shandong Museum. Included officials' robes, gowns worn for rituals and clothing worn for daily use. Also shown were over 80 associated items of clothing and other related objects including ritual items and full length portraits of officials. A very interesting and rare assemblage of Ming textiles, the majority previously unseen and here published for the first time.
One page preface in English plus names of sections of catalogue and five page index giving list of exhibits with brief descriptions in English. Main text in Chinese. Extremely hard to obtain and now unavailable.
