Large and well-illustrated catalogue celebrating the opening of the Sackler Museum at Beijing University in 1992. The Museum's collection was drawn from various sources, including that of the former Yanjing University and holds extremely fine archaeological material excavated at relatively early dates from sites all over China. Of particular note are the ancient bronzes, but there are also excellent ceramics, tomb figurines and some jade. The material dates from the Neolithic to the Yuan and all exhibits are illustrated in colour. Dual texts in Chinese and English.
