Extremely useful catalogue of this legendary exhibition listing and illustrating all the fabulous exhibits. Of course, many of the items were loaned by the Chinese Government and this is stated where relevant but the names of other lending museums and numerous private collectors worldwide are given. The staging of this exhibition was an extraordinary achievement, masterminded by Sir Percival David with support at the highest level from governments and institutions across the globe. All the exhibits are shown although the black-and-white illustrations are small. Comprises the fifth edition of the catalogue plus the Illustrated Supplement to the Catalogue. The two bound in one volume.
