Catalogue of an exhibition at the Bard Graduate Centre in New York of 161 very choice examples of Chinese cloisonne, primarily from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Many of the exhibits are from the collection of the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris bequeathed by David David-Weill. Other pieces in the exhibition from museum collections in America. All illustrated in colour and well-described. An extensive number of essays accompany. An excellent contribution to the subject. Recommended. Slight bumps to top edge of front and back covers otherwise fine.
