Illustrates and describes the donation of 20th century woodblock prints to the Meishuguan in Beijing by their creator, Li Qun. A very pleasing and interesting selection totalling 91 colour and black-and-white prints. Li Qun was active from the 1930s through to the early 2000s. His prints cover a wide range of subjects ranging from early Communist themes and the themes of New China, moving more into landscape and nature scenes in his later years. Li Qun died in 2012 at the age of 100. The Meishuguan held an exhibition in 2012 to commemorate his life and work. Whilst there was no catalogue, many of the prints shown in this work featured in the exhibition. One page preface in English. Main text in Chinese.
