A worthy contribution to the study of Ming and Qing ceramics augmented by a list of all known supervisors and managers at the imperial kilns at Jingdezhen throughout these two dynasties.
Volume Two shows 66 Qing ceramics with an emphasis on the High Qing, the Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong reigns. Comprises one Shunzhi example, 12 Kangxi pieces, 33 Yongzheng and 21 Qianlong.
This second volume also reproduces a Qing album painted by a court artist with 20 illustrations showing the stages of porcelain production with accompanying descriptive text - also usefully translated into English.
