Limited edition of 700 copies. Illustrates all the Lamaistic temples in Manchuria and Mongolia and their treasures of sculpture and painting. Includes many black-and-white photographic illustrations of temples and interiors at Chengde, the Lama temple (Yonghegong) in Peking and numerous other temples in the two regions. The smaller, separate text volume measures 26x18 cm with the plate volume measuring 39x29 cm. All text in Japanese. Very rare.
