Glahn, Elsa,: PHOTOGRAPHS OF CHINESE ARCHITECTURE AND RELATED INFORMATION. N.p., n.d. (1970s). A collection of over 100 black-and-white photographs. 6 vols. 20x14 cm. Boards.
Interesting collection of photographs of Chinese buildings and architectural edifices taken by the Danish architectural historian and writer, Else Glahn, on a visit (visits?) to China in the 1970s when the country was very closed to outsiders. The photographs are accompanied by other photographs of relevant pages of early 20th century Chinese and Japanese works on Chinese architecture. Of much interest for the study of the subject and also for the photographs showing ancient Chinese buildings in an unrenovated original state.
