Volume 23 in this excellent series shows 89 highly-regarded examples of rubbings of famous Chinese stone inscriptions with fine calligraphy. The rubbings are held in the collection of the Gugong Museum in Beijing. Many of the rubbings are held in albums and most of the 88 examples are illustrated in multiple views. The stones from which the rubbings are taken date from the Han dynasty onwards. Captions in English, otherwise Chinese text.
