Qilihe is located in China's Hubei province. The Neolithic Fangxian site was discovered in 1958 and has been excavated a number of times. It has been identified with the Shijiahe culture and this is the detailed archaeological report. Prime artefacts discovered have been examples of painted pottery, a good number illustrated here.
