Illustrated throughout, this large two-volume work (part of a series) shows the distinctive woodblock prints produced in the Taohuawu district of Suzhou. Notable and useful for the large selection of rare and interesting Suzhou prints dating from the Yongzheng reign onwards. Much Qianlong material. Divided into sections by subject matter depicted - landscapes and scenery, deities and immortals etc. The prints come from collections in China and abroad, in particular, Japan. Text in Chinese. Out-of-print and very difficult to find.
