Catalogue of an exhibition at the Fondation Baur in Geneva showing fine Chinese monochrome ceramics from the Tang to the Qing dynasties and from two excellent holdings - the Baur itself and the Hong Kong Zhuyetang collection. Whilst the exhibition covered over 1000 years of Chinese ceramics, the highlight of the exhibition, and the majority of the exhibits, were superb Qing dynasty monochromes. Illustrated throughout in colour showing a total of 200 exhibits, a number in multiple views and all basemarks shown. Essays accompany. Dual texts in French and English with an introduction and additional captions to plates in Chinese. Excellent visual reference.
